If I go on a cruise to Mexico, can I bring prescription meds from Mexico onto the ship?

Ok. So everyone knows that you can go to Mexico and get less expensive prescription medications. My question is can I take them onto the cruise ship?
I know it’s legal to bring them back in the United States. I just don’t know if the ship will allow it.
